Yes on Affordable Housing

Working New Yorkers are being squeezed by skyrocketing housing costs. They’re leaving the neighborhoods they’ve called home and the schools their children go to, all because we cannot get more affordable housing built. There’s too much red tape. There are too many delays. And there are too many opportunities to say no. And that means there are too many kids in shelters, too many families overburdened by rent, and too many people forced to live on the streets.

If we want a future where our children can afford to live in New York City, we need to build more housing. We need to build more affordable housing. We need to fix our broken housing system.

We need to pass Proposals 2 through 5, which are a necessary and long-overdue fix that will help build tens of thousands of new affordable housing units and make historic progress to tackle the housing crisis.
