As a proud parent, a Randolph resident, and a strong advocate I am committed to shifting the narrative of the school district to embody our student population, to develop parent, school and community partnerships, and implement policies that will improve academic performance. I am running for school committee because I believe in quality public education. I promise to lead with passion, dignity and transparency.
As the founder of a nonprofit, I’ve demonstrated the ability to harness the voices and strengths of community members to create an advocacy group for families with children on the autism spectrum and to create more awareness of students’ needs. I work actively to highlight the voices and experiences of others to ensure that our diverse community and needs are met by schools. My experience with Boston Public Schools has given me insight into navigating a complex school district while managing the priorities of multiple stakeholders.
Furthermore, my nonprofit experience gives me the skills to manage tight budgets while meeting the needs of a diverse group with varying perspectives. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our school budget reflects the needs of our students and schools.
