Yasmeen Bankole is a Trustee in the Village of Hanover Park and former congressional staffer. A lifelong public servant with deep roots in the Northwest Suburbs, she was born in Chicago, raised in Hanover Park, and is the proud daughter of Nigerian immigrants. As a senior congressional staffer for eight years in the offices of Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi and Senator Dick Durbin, Yasmeen served Illinois families and worked to secure federal dollars for Chicagoland non-profits and municipalities. Since 2021, Yasmeen has served as a Hanover Park Trustee and has enjoyed being an agent of positive change in her community.
