Hi Everyone,
My name is Mahtab Khan. I am a Bangladeshi-American + Muslim activist and community organizer from Jamaica, Queens. I am also a tenant, Gen Z, and product of NYC public schools + CUNY John Jay College.
I am now running a grassroots campaign for New York Assembly District 24 (Jamaica, Briarwood, Oakland Gardens, Queens Village, Hollis, Richmond Hill). One of the reasons why I am running is because I realized that we've had little to no representation of BIPOC, immigrant, marginalized, and working class community members in New York Assembly District 24. I am running on a platform on environmental justice, housing justice, protection for immigrant community members, and public safety.
As New York State Assemblymember, I will be the voice for our community and help bring representation to the table. We need to give the next generation a chance to lead and be able to hold government officials accountable, ensure that there is transparency in the New York Democratic Party, and help pass meaningful legislation to address the needs of working class everyday New Yorkers.
A Vote For Mahtab Is A Vote For:
+Taxing The Rich
+Human Rights
+Affordability
+Housing Justice
+Medicare For All
+Public Safety
+Protection For Immigrant Rights
+Language Access & Diversity
+Free Public College & Fully Funded Schools
+Environmental Justice
If you have friends and family in the District, please spread the word and follow @KhanForNYS for more updates. For more information visit https://www.yeswekhan.nyc.
