Young for 61

I'm Lilliana Young, an unrelenting and unapologetic progressive who's running for Indiana House of Representatives seat 61 out of Bloomington. My mission is to fight for the soul of Indiana by fixing the damage caused by the state Republican party with these six key issues:


  • Increase state minimum wage and tie to inflation, mandatory paid leave and vacation benefits, and legalized unions for public workers
  • public funds for public schools only, higher teacher's wages and school district funding not dependent on property taxes
  • state regulated healthcare costs and expanded access to state Medicaid
  • relaxed zoning to build low-cost housing anywhere, legalized rent freezes and fines to landlords for unused housing
  • enshrine LGBTQ protections into the state constitution and bar state police from cooperating with immigration enforcement
  • ensure ease of access to government records and public policy hearings and ensure that all government officials who author policy changes are directly and personally accountable to state residents
