It is EEIC's goal to prepare as many youths in a given zip code to help their communities in the event of an emergency.
Participants will learn the types of emergencies and disasters prevalent in their environment. They will receive the necessary tools and resources from implementing strategies before, during, and after an emergency event. At the same time, they will acquire the essential value of self-reliance and provident living. The combination of disaster and active involvement instruction will help students gain confidence in enhancing their likelihood to carry out these learned preparedness behaviors and the associated sense of civic responsibility into adulthood.
