Youth Internship Program

Dear Friends, 

Thank you so much for supporting my campaign. Because of the support of my friends, I have been able to hire Italo Fini as my Campaign Manager, already printed my first palm card to use for door-knocking and developed a team to help our campaign target voters with our message. I am very happy to tell you that we have our whole campaign infrastructure together and we’re fully on the move!

It is because of my friends that I have overcome homelessness, addiction and joblessness. You all have stood by me with unwavering support and have gotten me to this point.

Recently I received the endorsement of Mass Alliance, becoming the only School Committee candidate that they are endorsing in the state. I have been knocking on doors every day, and volunteers have started joining me some evenings and on weekends.We have momentum on our side!

I still need your help. I am looking for 100 friends that will donate $100 to meet our expenses for this summer. We need to identify 8,000 voters by Election Day to win and I cannot do this by myself. With your additional campaign support we can increase the role and participation that young people will have in my campaign, making sure we knock on enough doors to win. Just as I did on the “No on Question 2”campaign, I want this campaign to provide an opportunity for real civic engagement for young people.

I feel a sense of personal responsibility when it comes to providing opportunities for youth in my campaign. As you may already know, as a teenager, I was homeless and experienced substance abuse issues.If it weren't for mentors, meaningful employment, and community service, the Dante Comparetto storybook would not include the phrase, “Comparetto wins!”

I am a proud parent, own a business, been able to serve our community and City, and now, of course, I’m running for School Committee! I want to ensure other youth have the same opportunity. Your$100 donation will help me do that.
