Join us for movie night, June 27, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. for a screening of the award-winning documentary The Invisible War at the Angelika Theater – Shops at Legacy in Plano.

The Invisible War is a groundbreaking investigative documentary about the rape of women within the US Armed Forces. Following the screening will be a panel discussion by Women Veterans who will share their experiences and detail actions to take to support legislation to stop the epidemic.

Panelists: Lisa Skier, Air Force Captain -1975-1992, now Program Coordinator for Grace After Fire. (The mission of Grace After Fire is to provide the means for women Veterans to gain knowledge, insight and self-renewal.)

Cindi Koehn, U.S Army Veteran, achieved rank of Army Staff Sergeant with 16 years of service, first in Air Defense Artillery and then in Military Intelligence. Cindi received the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Four Amy Commendation Medals and Five Army Achievement Medals

Penny Phillips, commissioned officer for 10 years, 6 years on active duty as an Air Force JAG officer ending service with rank of Captain. Prior to military service, she was a criminal prosecutor which included prosecution of all crimes with women or children as victims in Hale and Swisher Counties, Texas.

A donation of $25 is requested for dessert and beverages and the screening followed by a panel discussion.
