Contribute now to the Democratic Accountability Project

The Democratic Party is a big tent united by core values, and some issues that cut to that core: Standing up for working people over Wall Street, protecting the environment from those who would pillage it for profit, and championing the rights of the disenfranchised, to name a few.

But some Democrats don’t get it. While we may look the other way on some obscure vote for parochial constituent interests, we’re not going to let nearly one-fifth of the Democratic caucus vote to gut key parts of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street reform law just because it has a friendly-sounding name. We’re going to raise holy hell.

We generated hundreds of phones calls and thousands of emails from angry constituents about Democrats who voted to gut Dodd-Frank or build the Keystone XL pipeline—and this Congress is only a few weeks old.

This grassroots pressure from Democratic voters on Democratic congresspersons is getting noticed and changing votes, as Rep. Rick Larsen responded to the deluge of constituent complaints and Rep. John Garamendi said he changed his position because of it.

Can you chip in $5 to help us expand the Democratic Accountability Project to keep Democrats from empowering Republicans in Congress?
