We are winding down to the election. The next few weeks are critical. Please give what you can to these critical races that hold the keys to regaining the house and the senate.

Image of Tammy Duckworth

Tammy Duckworth

Tammy is an Iraq vet who is fighting for an open seat. The polls on this are neck and neck. She gave the Democrat's radio response to Bush's address recently, making it clear that Democrats are not the party of "cut and run..."

Image of Jerry McNerney

Jerry McNerney

Alternative energy expert running a tight race against one of the more corrupt republicans. Bush recently dropped in for a fundraiser for Jerry's opponent, a move widely seen as evidence of weakness. His opponent is so loathesome that even some prominent Republicans support Jerry. Still, the last poll put the race at 48 to 46 - Jerry's lead (if he has one) is slight. He has a Ph.D...for pete's sake, show him some love!

Image of Tim Walz

Tim Walz

Tim's a teacher, coach, and vet. He is also running an inspiring progressive campaign against one of the most far right Republicans. The district itself is more moderate than right-wing and was held by a Democrat until 1994. If Tim wins this seat, he can hold it.

Image of Lois Murphy

Lois Murphy

Lois came within a whisker of winning this seat two years ago. The rematch, in the new political environment, could go her way. Still, polls have it neck and neck.

Image of Claire McCaskill

Claire McCaskill

Claire is a battle tested politician running a great campaign against a right wing incumbent. Polls are back and forth, with both candidates at about 45%, with 10% undecided. This one really is in the balance.

Harold Ford, Jr.

Ford is running for an open seat. His opponent has luckily led a bumbling campaign...and Ford has been able to make hay over his opponent's terrible job as mayor of Chattanooga. Like Missouri, this one is back and forth...and without it we probably can't win the Senate.
