This list will support candidates who are progressive, who need help to gain majorities in the House and in the Senate in 2006, and who care about issues that are close to my heart - the environment, healthcare, free speech, fair elections, campaign finance reform, and promoting peace. If you want to support a broad base of various progressive candidates across the country, the Netroots candidates page is recommended! I have only selected candidates which are either inspiring because of their support of progressive issues or they are only moderates but they are running against truly EVIL and morally reprehensible opponents (i.e. Casey) I researched them all on ontheissues.org and vote-smart.org, and put them in order of importance to me.

Jon Tester

MT-Sen

This candidate really deserves to win. His opponent, Burns, is corrupt, corrupt, corrupt. Burns is evil with pork barrel politics, lobbyist scandals, and his voting record is 'conservative pro-corporation'. Meanwhile Tester is this great candidate. The stakes are so highl!!

MO-Sen

McCaskill is running in a really close race and I think it is one that could make a huge difference. If you only support one candidate support her or Tester, because they are really good people running against REALLY bad people.

I have to support Casey even though I disagree with him on almost every issue, because Rick Santorum is one of the worst people in politics. If we win no other race in 2006 but we manage to get rid of Santorum, the world will be a better place.

This one is a very hot race. The opponent, Weldon, is anti-public health, anti-public education, pro-corporate, anti-civil rights, extreme evil. Please support this awesome candidate!

James Webb

VA-Sen

Webb is a good, solid Democratic candidate who I wouldn't think had a shot in Virginia, except the fact that Allen is cruel and racist and has been revealed as such. I care so much about this race that I made a dedicated donation to Webb only. The nation should rise up to support Webb on the basis of him being a decent, good human being where Allen is not.

CT-Sen

Ned Lamont! Inspired me very much with his victory in CT. I think he is really the kind of person we need to elect to send a message to Washington.

OH-Sen

A fabulous candidate who is running against an entrenched moderately evil Republican. I enthusiastically support this candidate.
