Dallas County Young Democrats Sustaining Members

The Dallas Young Democrats is an organization open to 14 - 36 year olds that believes in the Democratic way. In other words, we're young North Texans working for a better tomorrow for everyone in our community. Like the Dallas County Democratic Party, the Dallas County Young Democrats relies on contributions from members like you to operate. Becoming a sustaining member gives you an important role in this organization.

Why should you become a sustaining member?

Sustaining memberships allow DCYD to continue reaching out to young, Democratic voters across the county. DCYD is dedicated to reaching Young Democratic voters by door-to-door campaigning, phone banking, mailing, and e-mailing young voters in Dallas County to encourage them to vote Democratic.

DCYD throws many special events per year for not only its members, but for the Dallas County community at large. By becoming a member, you help host these events! From the St. Patrick’s Day parade on Greenville Avenue, to Jefferson-Jackson After Dark and our December Holiday Party, DCYD provides many opportunities for its members to come together in a casual setting. Your support means more fun activities, in addition to political work.

Our website, mailbox, swag, and mailings are all some of the things that rely on contributions. Your donation keeps these basic necessities going for our daily operations. Please become a sustaining member today.

We ask that general members of the club (those aged 14-40 and live in Dallas County) become a sustaining member at $40 a year. Those who are affiliate members (those outside Dallas County or the YD age range aka a "YD at heart") join at $25 a year. Sustaining members will be recognized on all monthly meeting agendas and on our website.

Contribution rules

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
  4. I am at least eighteen years old.
Your contributions in support of state entities in Texas are made to ActBlue Texas, a state political committee, and do not constitute earmarked contributions. Final responsibility for distribution of these funds lies with ActBlue Texas's governing board.
