Colorado House Majority Project

Really?

Are you working hard enough? The GOP doesn't think so.

GOP Presidential candidate Jeb Bush was the talk of Twitter yesterday after blaming Americans for the lackluster economy - that our economy is still recovering because “people need to work longer hours.”

Americans aren’t working enough? Really? Bush is so disconnected from reality that it’s scary. He clearly has no idea what life is like for Americans across the country who are trying to make ends meet - and unfortunately, his GOP allies agree with him. Help us fight back against out-of-touch GOP politicians and protect hardworking Coloradans!

We know the truth: Americans are working harder than ever and logging more hours at their jobs, often without extra compensation for well over 40 hours per week. This session, we fought for hardworking Coloradans by working to:

  • Close loopholes that corporations use to avoid paying employees fairly for the hours they work
  • Make it easier for middle class families to save for college and retirement
  • Create access to paid leave so Coloradans can afford to care for sick family members

If you work hard and play by the rules, you should have the opportunity to succeed - you should also be able to afford to raise a family, save for retirement, and get a higher education without a mountain of debt.  We are working to make that a reality for Coloradans, but we need your help. Click here to help us fight back against corporate interests and work towards a brighter future for Colorado!
