Susan and I married on Oct 9, 1999 without the ability to have a legally binding marriage. We were married again at San Francisco City Hall only to have our marriage license rejected. We just got married yet again - this time in Oakland and have our legal marriage license.
Proposition 8 "eliminates the right of same sex couples to marry." And this constitutional amendment would be the very first of it's kind in our nation to REMOVE some core civil rights of an entire group of people.
