After going months unopposed in my bid for reelection, an opponent has entered the race and unfortunately put us at a serious disadvantage given their late notice.

Having opposition enter the race this late in the cycle means we now have to work twice as hard in half the time to be prepared to win this election. Too much is at stake for us to just give up and quit. While I respect my opponent's willingness to be in the legislature, we disagree on how to get people back to work, how to support disadvantaged youth, and how to protect our environment. This is one election we can't afford to lose.
