Democratic candidates will need a lot of help this year in order to keep both houses of Congress in Democratic control. I've decided to create a fund raising page to support candidates that I like in the hopes that you'll like them too and be willing to throw a few dollars their way. You can support all of them, or one of them. It's up to you. I will add candidates and delete others as needed as election season winds down. Even if you only have a few bucks it's still worth it to support a candidate you like. It's $5 more than they would have had without your contribution.

ActBlue provides a unique way for you to make your voice echo in the corridors of power. Please support them with a tip when you contribute.

Those of you not from Illinois might not know that this is one of the best opportunities that the Democrats have to win a seat from the Republicans. It's an open seat because Mark Kirk is running for Senator. Dan is a real progressive and

She's a freshman rep in a district that the Republicans desperately want back.

Some people are not as high on him because of the issues with his family's bank. It seems that most of the problems with the bank happened after he left to be treasurer. Plus, we can't afford to lose Senate seats so it's important to back him. He's a pretty strong progressive and union supporter.

This is a weird story. Those of you in Michigan probably know it. The guy who won the nomination initially abandoned the race, but the Republican Secretary of State wouldn't replace him until recently. This is the guy who is now the nominee. He obviously could use some help.

This is admittedly a long shot race, but from what I've seen of this guy he's all about bringing back manufacturing jobs and he's pretty passionate about it. No sense giving up the governor's seat without a fight though.

She's in a tough race because she is facing an opponent with a lot of cash. We can't afford to lose her in the Senate.

I don't think there's a rep I hate more than Michele Bachmann. Steve King in Iowa is close, but Bachmann is top dog. Tarryl is taking her on but of course Bachmann is well funded.

Remember how Chuck Grassley gleefully stomped all over health care reform last year? A way to get back at him is to donate to his Democratic opponent. This is a long shot race, but worth taking one.

I don't even know that much about this guy but I got pissed when I saw this commercial online.

Who is Scott McAdams? He's not the guy who draws Dilbert, he's the guy running against Sarah Palin's hand picked candidate in Alaska: Joel Miller. Ironically, with Lisa Murkowski's primary loss this became a much closer race. A little money his way could make a difference.
