UPDATE 2: We did it! Thanks to you, we met our goal of 60 pro-equality donors taking a stand for Martha Coakley. But let's not stop here. Scott Brown's campaign is pulling in money from far-right conservatives at an incredibly pace. Let's keep giving!
NEW GOAL: 100 pro-equality donors standing with Martha Coakley.
UPDATE: Scott Brown's campaign is reporting raising over $1.3 million in the last 24 hours. Martha Coakley needs YOUR HELP to stay in this race.
The special election to fill Ted Kennedy's Senate seat is just seven days away, and most polls are showing that the race between Martha Coakley and her Republican opponent Scott Brown could not be tighter.
The winner of this race will be the deciding vote on the Democratic legislative agenda: health care reform, immigration, and all of the upcoming LGBT bills -- ENDA, DADT repeal, and the Uniting American Families Act.
Republican Scott Brown opposes marriage equality in Massachusetts, the first state to legalize same-sex marriage, and would essentially end all hopes for enacting the Democratic legislative priorities.
Martha Coakley is a proud progressive Democrat, and has the distinction of being the first (and so far, only) state Attorney General to file suit against the Defense of Marriage Act. Martha Coakley has taken a stand for the LGBT community, now it's our turn to stand for her.
Please give $250, $100, or what you can to support Martha Coakley for Senate.
