Larry’s story is pure Pennsylvania. He’s lived in Southwest Pennsylvania his entire life – raised by a steelworker, a waitress and, later, a teacher. Growing up, his family didn’t have much money and didn’t have the tools to manage it well. Finances were bad enough that he had to drop out of college after just one year, to take a job in construction, until he turned 18, and joined the Marines.

After his time on Active Duty, he used the G.I. Bill to return to college, and then came back to Pennsylvania. He became a police officer, and went to night school at the same time, until he was elected Sheriff, and later County Commissioner.

Larry is one tough son of a gun. He’s just the kind of fighting veteran we need, right now.
