The McKay Schwalbach Fellowship - 2014

McKay Schwalbach was a feisty liberal -- loyal, passionate and one-of-a-kind. She was a host of the Savannah chapter of Drinking Liberally, and an enthusiastic attendee of the Living Liberally Leaders Conference.

When McKay passed away, several of her friends with the support of the Living Liberally organization, began a Fellowship Fund in her memory. Each year, a McKay Schwalbach Fellowship covers travel and lodging for a Drinking Liberally host attending the annual Leaders Conference for the first time.

This year we had an idea: why not sponsor more than one Fellow? The Fellowship Committee and Living Liberally have committed the funds to one Fellow already. With whatever we raise, we'll sponsor additional Drinking Liberally hosts to come to their first conference where they meet their fellow leaders, weigh on on our organizational priorities and strengthen our Liberal community.

Chip in what you can -- all proceeds will support additional Fellows.

McKay would tease us for naming this after her, but she'd be happy to know more people were finding a way to join together.
