Once again Congress is playing “Let’s Make a Deal” with Americans’ hard-earned Social Security and Medicare benefits. For years, the Wall Street funded anti-“entitlement” lobby has worked hard to protect their trillion dollars in tax breaks profiting huge corporations and the wealthy. Rather than reduce these massive subsidies and tax breaks to shrink the deficit, they want Congress to cut modest Social Security and Medicare benefits going to middle-class Americans – benefits you’ve earned in a lifetime of work and contributions!
