No on Prop 8 -- No on Prop Hate

The right to marry is a basic, fundamental civil right guaranteed by the California Constitution. The Constitution also says, "A person may not be ... denied equal protection of the laws."

Put these two together and you have the conclusion that same sex couples are "entitled to the same respect and dignity accorded a union traditionally designated as marriage." That's what the California Supreme Court said.
Prop 8 will create an EXCEPTION to the equal protection clause for same sex couples. Prop 8 says that same sex couples are not entitled to respect. Prop 8 says that same sex couples are not entitled to dignity. It says that all Californians are entitled to equal protection, EXCEPT for gays and lesbians.
Help us help the fight against Prop 8. Let's eliminate Hate. Let's eliminate discrimination. Let's not use the Constitution to eliminate rights for anyone. Please contribute to my fundraising page today! And if you live in California VOTE NO ON PROP 8. Thank you.

If this doesn't affect you directly, just think, if we allow people to eliminate rights for gays and lesbians, what's to stop them from targeting other minority groups? Let's remember the lessons of history.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak for me.
