Once again we are raising money for critical Democratic campaigns – Boxer, Brown, McNerney, Bowen, Sestak etc.. If you think it’s tough to pass a progressive agenda with Democratic majorities (and you’re right), think what it’ll be like with Republican majorities. Kiss your agenda-ass good-bye.

We are serving PROGRESS-aritas, the latest incarnation of David’s margarita, for a minimum $25 donation to the campaign(s) of your choice or our hand-picked group.

For fastest access to the margaritas, make a donation on this page right now to cover your drink tickets. (You can always do more donating once you get to the party; bring your credit card or checkbook.)

Feel free to donate more than the amount of margaritas you will be drinking!

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2:00-5:00 P.M.

Image of Barbara Boxer

Barbara Boxer

Senator Boxer needs no introduction. For years she has been one of the progressive movement's boldest leaders -- on climate change, on healthcare, on women's rights, and on so much more she has been a voice for the people.

Now, Senator Boxer is locked in a tough reelection fight with Tea Party Republican Carly Fiorina, a failed corporate executive who is writing million-dollar checks to fund her own campaign. Carly claims to have created jobs as a former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, but that conveniently ignores the tens of thousands of Americans laid-off, fired or who had their jobs outsourced overseas under her failed "leadership." Let's face it, when Carly was in charge, HP lost 2/3's of its shareholder value. Neither California nor the rest of the nation can afford leadership like Carly Fiorina.

The U.S. Senate needs Heroes who fight the big banks, insurance companies and Wall Street. Who stand up for everyday Americans against corporate interests. America needs Senator Barbara Boxer.

Jerry McNerney

The grassroots helped Jerry McNerney, in our neighboring 11th congressional district, defeat anti-environmentalist Richard Pombo. The Republicans want the seat back, making McNerney one of their prime targets this year. Polls are showing Republican David Harmer in a tie with McNerney. Let's make sure our friend and neighbor keeps his seat!

Debra Bowen

CA-Sec State

Debra Bowen ran for California Secretary of State four years ago on a platform of cleaning up our horrible voting machine mess. She has delivered in a big way. Now up for re-election, she is running up against "birther" Orly Taitz. Let's make sure Debra Bowen continues on her quest for greater transparency, accountability, and election protection.

Experience. Jerry Brown certainly has it. He's not the most progressive, but he would be a huge advantage to the chilling alternative. What he doesn't have is Meg Whitman's campaign treasure chest. He does have us, though. Let's get Jerry back in the Capitol building.

Image of Donna Edwards

Donna Edwards

Marylanidian Donna Edwards is a true progressive hero, coming to the end of her first full term in Congress. The Washington post says "she is a champion of labor unions, a skeptic on free trade and a doubter when it comes to projecting American force overseas."

Image of Joe Sestak

Joe Sestak

Congressman Sestak is running for US Senate in Pennsylvania. His commitment to ethics reform in goverment, health care reform, opportunities for working families and much more has pointed the way forward for Pennsylvania and the rest of the country.

Image of Beth Krom

Beth Krom

Irvine councilmember and former Mayor Beth Krom is running for Congress to represent California's 48th district, currently held by another "birther," John Campbell. Orange County has traditionally been a red stronghold, but people like Krom are helping to turn it blue. She's a dedicated environmental activist Let's work to get another progressive Democrat into Washington.

Alan Grayson (2010)

Congressman Grayson has worked in his home state of Florida and in DC to fight for real change.

He has been such an outspoken advocate that it's easy to forget that Congressman Grayson is only in his first term elected to a district with an over 10% Republican voter registration advantage. That's why Grayson is a top target for Republicans this fall. Sarah Palin and FOX News are pulling out all the stops to get his Tea Party opponent elected and send Grayson home. It's up to us to stop them.

Join us today to send Congressman Grayson back for a second term -- and a third, and a fourth.

Russ Feingold

We added in Senator Feingold of Wisconson because we've learned that he is under heavy attack by a wealthy, extreme right-winger. We need to keep Feingold in office — he's one of our most progressive Senators.
