It's time for the U.S. to lead on climate. Our nation needs to stop relying on environmentally exploitative energy production like Keystone XL tar sands -- processes that are backed by the Koch Brothers, Big Oil, and conservative super PACs. That's why it's so crucial that progressives who will stand up to corporate interests get elected up and down the ballot in November.
Mitt Romney has already promised immediate approval of Keystone XL. "I will build that pipeline if I have to myself," he said in April. Romney and his right-wing billionaire backers will stop at nothing to exploit our natural resources for corporate profits.
