Electronic voting machines failed the voters of Florida's 13th Congressional District. On Election Day and during early voting, these machines failed to record a vote on more than 18,000 ballots cast in Sarasota County. There is absolutely no question that these "undervotes" affected the outcome of this race. Several analyses have demonstrated that had the voting machines recorded every vote accurately, Christine Jennings would have defeated her Republican opponent--probably by more than 3,000 votes. Christine is now involved in an ongoing fight to determine what happened to the missing votes. She is committed to ensuring that Florida's 13th District is represented by someone who is elected by the collective will of the people, and for that reason she has petitioned the Florida courts and the U.S. House of Representatives for a re-vote. This will be an expensive process, so please give whatever you can up to $2,100. Your contribution will not count toward the federal limit. Please give today. Christine needs your help!
