Across the last cycle, ActBlue sent $90 million to 3,701 political committees. That included candidates at every level of politics--Houston's first LGBT mayor received money through ActBlue, as did U.S. Senators and progressive primary challengers in Arkansas and Pennsylvania.
But we did more than just send money to committees. We built a mobile web interface that allows you to give on the go. We created a Twitter integration that allows donors to give through Twitter and tweet the fact they've donated. Our Facebook application allows you to give to campaigns without leaving Facebook.
All those developments were underwritten by your support. As a recurring donor, you've been the foundation that supports ActBlue. Your monthly contribution helped Democrats fight back when the Supreme Court unleashed a flood of anonymous corporate money into our political process. Your generosity made sure that actual people--not "corporate persons"--will continue to have a powerful voice in our elections.
Today, we'd like to thank you and to ask you to renew your $15 recurring contribution to ActBlue, so that we can continue to work toward Democratic recovery and renewal in 2011 and 2012. Remember: Democratic innovation depends on ActBlue, and ActBlue depends on you.
Support ActBlue by renewing your $15 recurring contribution.
From all of us at ActBlue, thanks.
