Early money is critically important in all political campaigns. I've set this page up early in the '08 cycle to give a boost to all of the people and groups below.

My money is where my mouth is. It will continue to be so until we've beaten the right wing machine that has so damaged our country...beaten them effectively enough that it will be decades before they can act as if what they do and what they want is acceptable in a civilized society.

Thanks for joining me.

Darcy Burner

WA-08

Darcy has filed to again run against Dave Reichert for the Washington 8th District Congressional seat. She came so close to ousting him in '06 with her first campaign that I believe she deserves early support now.

Jim McDermott

WA-07

Jim McDermott is my Congressman...and being represented by him helps give me hope for the the future. It's not like he is ever going to lose an election in the 7th district as long as he chooses to serve, but any funds that go into his coffers do tremendous good for progressive causes & other progressive candidates. Also, the more money he has the more annoying he becomes to the forces of darkness in the good old U S of A.

WA-04 Democratic Nominee Fund

WA-04

This seat is currently held by Doc Hastings (R). Contributions to this fund will be sent to the Democratic nominee upon his or her selection. Doc Hastings sat on his hands as Chairman of the House Ethics Committee while the Bushiviks ran wild. I think the ordinary good citizens of Eastern Washington should be sick of him by now, but any Democratic nominee will need all the help they can get against the powerful special interests supporting Doc.

Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee

The DLCC did yeoman duty in the last election cycle, and as usual early money will help them now. This is *not* the DLC, whom I absolutely do not support. The DLCC works hard to win state legislative seats and chambers for Democrats.

Image of DCCC

DCCC

The DCCC is the official campaign arm of the Democrats in the House of Representatives. The DCCC is the only political committee in the country whose principal mission is to support Democratic House candidates every step of the way through election cycles.

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC)

The DSCC's mission is to elect Democrats to the United States Senate. They are the largest organization solely dedicated to electing a Democratic Senate in the country. From grass-roots organizing to candidate recruitment to providing campaign funds for tight races, the DSCC is working hard all year, every year to increase the number of Democratic Senators.

Democratic National Committee (DNC)

The Democratic National Committee promotes the election of Democratic candidates with both technical and financial support; and works with national, state, and local party organizations, elected officials, candidates, and constituencies to respond to the needs and views of the Democratic electorate and the nation.

Chris Gregoire

WA-Gov

Gov. Gregoire has turned out to be an even better Guv than I thought she'd be...and I was very happy to see her squeak out a win in '04. Recently Forbes Magazine has upgraded Washington from the middle of the pack to the 5th best state in the nation to do business in, i.e. so much for all the Republican lies about Dems creating a hostile business climate, eh? Again, early support is critical to retain Gov. Gregoire. Unfortunately, ActBlue and Washington State have issues with fundraising for in-state races, so until this is resolved, go to: http://www.chrisgregoire.com/

Tom Allen

ME-Sen

The more I read about Tom Allen the more I like him as a solid Maine Democrat. He stood up to the Bush "administration" and voted against the War in Iraq in the House. The current incumbant, Sen. Susan Collins, has until very recently been a solid member of the Bush-enabling and forgiving rubber stamp Senate. I believe Tom Allen will make a fine Senator, and, once again, my money is where my mouth is...

Image of Donna Edwards

Donna Edwards

MD-04

This is an important race in Maryland.

We know where Donna Edwards stands. She is the consistent progressive in the race we can count on to fight for our values everyday, not just during election season. Yet, her opponent Al Wynn has been on the run, flipping positions and double-talking his record since the campaign started.

While Donna has stood up against the war in Iraq since the beginning, Congressman Wynn voted with Bush on Iraq from day one. In fact, Al Wynn voted for the Republican bankruptcy bill, Dick Cheney's energy bill, and to increase exceptions to the Clean Air Act for big polluters.

With Democrats like Al Wynn, the GOP doesn't even need to run a Republican. Support Donna Edwards today and let's kick Bush Democrats out of Congress.
