For all the progress we've made, women still face unbelievable sexism when they run for political office -- and it's not just insults from opponents. The mainstream media's double standards for female candidates might be even more damaging.
It's time to put the media and politicians on notice: Women candidates should be judged by their policies and smarts, not their clothes or hair.
We're launching a major effort to watchdog the media and demand equal treatment for female candidates. With your help, we'll hire researchers to track the coverage and organizers to raise hell whenever female candidates are disrespected. Can you chip in to get this project off the ground?
