We are at a critical point for our schools in Malden.
Our schools have a strong foundation built by our amazing teachers, engaged parents, and hard working school officials. We have opportunities to build community partnerships, strengthen after school programs, and mold PARCC and Common Core to help students, not hurt them.
Yet we are also faced with the challenges of overcrowding, budgets cuts where we can least afford them, and a test driven curriculum that cuts away at some of the best our teachers have to offer.
