Indivisible IL9 supports Leni for 48th!
Leni is a lifelong Democrat committed to being an alderperson who is a bridge-builder who will coalesce our diverse constituencies and represent our common interests. As a community organizer, she has worked alongside community and government partners to build strong coalitions to advocate for civil rights and meaningful engagement of everyday people in our democracy.
We at Indivisible IL9 have witnessed first-hand Leni's fearless leadership, always infused with compassion and the courage of her convictions. We are proud to stand alongside Leni on her journey to Chicago City Council.
We have fought long and hard for campaign reform and know that the high cost of campaigning excludes women, people of color, and anyone who isn't rich enough to buy their way into an elected position. We fight those economic disparities by donating to progressive candidates like Leni who share our commitment to social and economic justice.

When Leni wins, she will be the first Filipina to ever serve on Chicago City Council (in 185 years) She will be the third Asian American person to serve and the second Asian American woman [the first was appointed this past March]. - This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- I understand that by ordinance of the City of Chicago, no lobbyist registered with the Board of Ethics, or person who has done business with City within the preceding four reporting years, or person who is seeking to do business with the City, shall contribute over $1,500 during a calendar year.
