Liberty City LGBTQ Democratic Club (PA)

The Inaugural Liberty City Gala

Celebrating 32 Years Of LGBTQ+ Philly Power & Voice

Join the Liberty City LGBTQ+ Democratic Club for our Inaugural Liberty City Gala on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the IATSE Local 8 Ballroom in Philadelphia.

This landmark evening will bring together LGBTQ+ leaders, elected officials, candidates, organizers, allies, and community partners to celebrate our progress and invest in the political future of Greater Philadelphia.

We are honored to welcome Jim Obergefell, the lead plaintiff in the landmark Supreme Court case that secured marriage equality nationwide, as our keynote speaker.

The evening will include a cocktail reception, dinner, local entertainment, a silent auction featuring LGBTQ+-owned businesses, remarks from community leaders, and the presentation of Liberty City’s inaugural Champion of LGBTQ+ Rights Award.

Proceeds will support Liberty City’s work to:

  • Elect openly LGBTQ+ candidates
  • Endorse and support candidates who champion our community
  • Strengthen grassroots organizing and voter engagement
  • Advocate for LGBTQ+ civil rights
  • Build lasting political power across Philadelphia and the surrounding region

Our City. Our Community. Our Power.

Ticket options include discounted admission for Liberty City members and young Democrats. High school and college Democrats may attend at no cost. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
