Win for RBG, in 2020 and Beyond

Update: the original match was met, but has been extended by another $5k, by Ilya Volodarsky. Post your receipts in this Twitter thread for the match.

All donations through this page through Sunday, September 27, 2020 will be matched to the Movement Voter PAC, up to $20k, by Erika and Peter Reinhardt. We strongly believe in all of the organizations, candidates, and slates linked on this page, and have already donated significantly to each of them. To match donations to these organizations made outside of this ActBlue page, followup on the Tweet thread.

It's more crucial than ever that Democrats take back the presidency and Senate in November, and that we're investing in voter rights and turnout to support democracy. With money already pouring into the most competitive Senate races, we're focused on investing in voting rights and protection, voter turnout in key states, and building a bench of strong Democratic leaders for the long-term. If you're in the position to donate (or donate more) towards progressive progress in the 2020 election and beyond, here are our recommendations where additional resources are most needed, as advised by voting rights and political experts.

Let's win for equality, let's win for climate, let's win for democracy, let's win for RBG!

The groups on this list that need additional funding are:

  • Movement Voter PAC supports the political work of local grassroots groups organizing to elect progressive candidates up and down the ballot. They direct money to the many state-based groups doing amazing organizing work that don't get enough national attention or money, where it's most needed.
  • The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee is fighting to elect local Democrats, retake statehouses, and end right-wing gerrymandering across the country. They're doing great state legislative work, and are a long-term national investment in Democratic leadership.
  • America Votes works with over 400 state and national partner organizations to advance progressive policies, win elections, and protect every American’s right to vote. They currently have campaigns around vote-by-mail enrollment and education, ballot chase, and get-out-the-vote in key states, which need additional funding.
  • Fair Fight is fighting to make elections in Georgia, and throughout the country, fair by pushing back on systematic voter suppression and disenfranchisement.
  • Run for Something elects young diverse progressives to local office to help Democrats build permanent power for the long-haul — no matter who wins the White House in 2020.
  • The Wisconsin and Texas Democratic Parties are doing great work on voter protection in strategically important states.
  • Democracy Docket is fighting back against voter suppression and protect the right to vote. They have active cases fighting to protect voters in 15 states today, and have already won key battles to have states include prepaid postage on absentee ballots, have states accept vote-by-mail ballots postmarked by Election Day but received later due to USPS delays, and more.

All of the organizations on the list above are 501(c)4s or PACs, which gives them the ability to do directly political and/or partisan work. This list doesn't include any specific campaigns or slates to keep the , though many could still use your support, here are some good resources for that, and additional recommended candidates:

We're also happy to match donations to any of the above candidates or slates to Movement Voter PAC, please share them on this thread.
