In the face of the recent attacks on our democracy (January 6) and liberty (loss of Roe vs. Wade), I spent today, the Fourth of July, taking a close look at what it will take to protect our country in the election ahead. I’d like to share what I found.
The four most competitive gubernatorial races are:
AZ Katie Hobbes
KS Laura Kelly
NV Steve Sisolak
WI Tony Evers
The next five are:
OR Tina Kotek
PA Josh Shapiro
ME Janet Mills
NM Michelle Lujan Grisham
GA Stacey Abrams
About half of these states (AZ, KS, WI, GA, and PA) also have critical Senate races, so supporting the Democratic candidates for governor may help there as well.
You can find an analysis of all these races and others, including data and sources, at strategicallyblue.com.
You can find related ActBlue fundraisers at strategically-blue-senate and strategically-blue-house.
