Strategically Blue: the most competitive 2022 Senate races

embed errored

In the face of the recent attacks on our democracy (January 6) and liberty (loss of Roe vs. Wade), I spent today, the Fourth of July, taking a close look at what it will take to protect our country in the election ahead. I’d like to share what I found.

Democrats (and allied independents) hold 50 seats, but have been blocked by Senators Manchin and Sinema. To overcome this stalemate, Democrats must win 6 of the 7 most-contested races. Please give to the non-incumbents first—Fetterman, Barnes, and Beasley need help now to build their organizations—but, if you can, please support all 7 candidates.

If you can only give to one, please consider supporting John Fetterman. His race is a true toss up, he's up against Dr. Oz (yes, that Dr. Oz), and he's massively underfunded.

Note: Wisconsin will hold its primary on August 9. Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes is in the lead and is endorsed by Elizabeth Warren and the Working Families Party, but other Democratic candidates are viable.

You can find an analysis of all these races and others, including data and sources, at strategicallyblue.com.
